What to expect

Originally used by dentists to treat pain associated with acute jaw tension and temporomandibular joint disorder (TMD), and migraines, botox injections and dermal fillers are also excellent for improving the appearance of gummy smiles.

More recently, dentists have also used botox and filler treatments to help reduce the appearance of frown lines, age lines, and wrinkles on your face, smoothing out your skin to create the perfect setting for your new smile.

Botox is very effective for treating “dynamic” lines and wrinkles caused by muscle movements such as frown lines. It is also useful for treating conditions involving involuntary, repetitive muscle spasms. The effects of botox injections last for three to four months.

Dermal fillers work by adding extra collagen to the skin. This helps to reduce the appearance of “static” wrinkles which are caused by reduced elasticity within the skin. It takes about three days for the effects to be noticeable and ten days to achieve maximum results. With regular treatment, the effects can last for around 18 months.

Both treatments are safe and minimally invasive.

The process

Either Botox or dermal fillers are administered by injection to a specified area of the face. These substances cause the muscles in your face to relax, leaving your skin smooth and younger looking.

It takes about three days for the results to be noticeable, and optimum results are achieved after approximately ten days. The effects of Botox last for about three to four months, whereas dermal fillers can last as long as 18 months after regular treatments.

Our cosmetic clinician have in-depth understanding of the nerves, blood vessels, muscles and lymphatic ducts in the face and neck.

This thorough understanding of facial anatomy and physiology means you can trust us to safely and effectively administer facial injectables and fillers and carry out other non-surgical procedures.

This also makes it possible to combine your Botox and filler procedures with veneers, implants, orthodontics or whitening procedures. So you can create your perfect smile without having to consult multiple practitioners.

Pricing

Pricing for Botox injections varies depending on the anti-wrinkle product used, how many units you require, and the number of areas you would like to treat.

A ‘unit’ is the amount of anti-wrinkle product required to reduce muscle movement in a specific area. The price per unit typically ranges from $5 to $15. The number of units required will vary from patient to patient, depending on the type of product used, areas to be treated, and the desired results. Total costs may range from $180 (one area) to $400 (three areas).

Typically dermal fillers cost around $450 for the first millilitre and $350 per millilitre thereafter. The exact dose required will vary from patient to patient depending on the desired outcomes, the quality of product used and the type of filler (thinner fillers are applied to the lips and under the eyes, whereas thicker fillers are used in areas such as the lower face and cheeks).

With dermal fillers, the first treatment lays the foundation for subsequent treatments, and the best long-term results are usually achieved by administering smaller doses at regular intervals over multiple sessions.
