Your Guide to Dental Care in Toowong, Brisbane

Toowong dental care at Ivy Dental. Cosmetic dentistry, veneers, aligners, whitening, and our Indooroopilly location opening soon.

5 min readReviewed Mar 2026

Toowong is one of Brisbane's inner-western suburbs with a younger demographic than much of the city. Its proximity to the University of Queensland, strong public transport connections, and village-style shopping precinct attract university students, young professionals, and established residents alike. It is a suburb where people invest in themselves, and dental care is part of that.

Ivy Dental Indooroopilly is opening soon. For Toowong residents, that puts a full-service Ivy practice about 5 minutes away along Moggill Road.

Ivy Dental Indooroopilly: close to Toowong

The new Indooroopilly practice will sit near Indooroopilly Shopping Centre, one of Brisbane's largest retail hubs and a location that Toowong residents already visit regularly. The drive along Moggill Road or Coronation Drive is direct and avoids motorway interchanges.

Indooroopilly will offer the same clinical standards and the same team-based care model as Ivy Dental's Everton Park and Nundah locations. Every service available at the existing practices will be available at Indooroopilly from opening day.

Register interest. To be notified when appointments open at Indooroopilly, call (07) 3266 7120 or reach out through our website.

Current Ivy Dental locations

Ivy Dental Everton Park. Via the Inner City Bypass and South Pine Road. Free on-site parking. Open seven days.

Ivy Dental Nundah. Via the Inner City Bypass and Gympie Road. Free on-site parking.

Records are shared across all Ivy locations. Start treatment at one practice and transfer to Indooroopilly when it opens without losing continuity.

Cosmetic dentistry for Toowong patients

Toowong's demographic skews younger and more appearance-conscious than many Brisbane suburbs. Cosmetic dental enquiries from the area tend to focus on three services: veneers, aligners, and whitening.

Porcelain veneers. Custom porcelain shells bonded to the front surface of teeth. Ivy uses digital scanning and design for veneer cases, which gives precise control over shape, shade, and symmetry. From $1,200 per tooth. Four appointments from consultation to final bonding is typical for most cases. Full details on our veneers page.

Clear aligners. Straighten teeth without metal brackets. Treatment uses a series of custom-made clear trays that shift teeth incrementally over months. Suitable for mild to moderate crowding, spacing, and bite issues. Popular with young professionals who want discreet treatment that does not affect their day-to-day appearance. More on our aligners page.

Teeth whitening. In-office whitening for visible results in one appointment. Take-home kits for gradual whitening over one to two weeks. These options are currently available at Everton Park and Nundah. See our whitening page for pricing and comparison.

Composite bonding. A single-visit option for minor chips, gaps, or shape corrections. Resin is applied directly to the tooth and sculpted by hand. Immediate results, lower cost than porcelain, shorter lifespan.

These services can be combined. A patient might whiten first, then bond one chipped tooth, or align teeth over several months before placing veneers on the front four. Ivy's cosmetic consultations are designed to map out the right sequence for each individual case.

Full service range

Cosmetic work is only part of what Ivy offers. The full scope includes:

General dentistry. Comprehensive exams, digital X-rays, scale and clean, fillings, root canal treatment, extractions, and preventive care.

Restorative dentistry. Crowns from $1,600. Bridges. Dental implants from $4,500 (single tooth, including crown). Digital scanning for most impression work.

Emergency dentistry. Assessment for pain, trauma, broken teeth, and infections. Emergency appointments can be booked online at any time. During opening hours, call (07) 3266 7120 for phone triage and booking help. Timing depends on clinical urgency and clinic capacity.

Children's dentistry. Check-ups, fissure sealants, fluoride treatments, and CDBS claims on site for eligible children aged 0 to 17.

Dental sleep medicine. Custom oral appliances for obstructive sleep apnoea. This is not sedation dentistry. Ivy Dental does not offer sedation.

UQ students and staff

Toowong borders St Lucia, home to the University of Queensland's main campus. Ivy Dental sees a number of UQ students and staff, particularly for cosmetic consultations, emergency care, and routine check-ups that have lapsed during busy academic periods.

If you are a student without private health cover, Ivy provides full quotes upfront so there are no surprises. CDBS may still apply for patients aged 0 to 17.
